Once again this was another great event, very well organised by Tania Grose & Linda te Kaat. Celebrations were held for 250 people at the Papanui Club on September 5th this year. This is gaining a reputation as an event for our members, friends, family and staff to go all-out and come along dressed to impress.
The Forum was held over the weekend of 12-14 September 2008. A great weekend for 23 young people from around New Zealand who danced up a storm with Upp Club members attending the disco.

For the third year in a row, the club camp was a most enjoyable experience for both members and staff. More photos of the camp at this page in our Photo Gallery.
UPP Club celebrations with friends, family and staff at the Papanui Club were enjoyed by all. Held on June 7th this year.

250 people celebrated UPP Club's second birthday with a fabulous ball held at the Papanui Club on May 26th.

There was fantastic music, a delicious supper and the whole night was buzzing with excitement and fun.
There were wall to wall smiles and sensational dancing.
We hope to have this as an annual event.
We were most fortunate to have two photographers at the ball. You are able to view photos from John Robinson on this site (these are the more formal ones).
The other photographer was Nazeef Khan who took more candid shots of the evening. You can view Nazeef's photos here. He is happy to email copies of any that you like, just contact him at this address.
The 21st of March was proclaimed World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) by Down Syndrome International.
The date (21/3 or 3/21) was chosen to signify the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome - the cause of Down syndrome.
In March 2006 we had the opportunity to contribute to some of the international celebrations with one of our UPP Club members featured on this Netherlands based website. (select the New Zealand Flag to see Matthew's video).
